Logica focuses on the payments transformation challenge at Sibos 2008

16 July 2008
Logica and one of its customers will present on ‘The Payments Transformation Challenge’ on the 17th of September at 10.15am

Logica, the leading IT and business services company, will demonstrate how to create strategic advantage through payments transformation at this year’s Sibos conference, held in Vienna, Austria from 15-19 September 2008. Logica will be in hall C at stand 313.

With over three decades of payments experience Logica experts will be on hand to show how banks can generate new revenue streams and achieve cost efficiencies.

Topics that our experts will be discussing at Sibos include:
  • Payments transformation, realising the benefits
  • Increasing revenues through innovation, the financial supply chain, customer centricity and mobile
  • Minimising costs through use of purpose-built software packages or outsourced payments processing
  • Managing the impact of regulations including PSD and SEPA
Logica addresses these challenges through a range of payment capabilities including:
  • Payments transformation
  • Business and management consulting
  • Payments standard software products
  • Payments data migration
  • Payments application development
  • Payments testing
On show at this year’s Sibos will be the Logica All Payments Solution (LAPS) for a full range of payment types. LAPS incorporates solutions for payments processing, routing, financial messaging, liquidity control plus international and domestic anti-money laundering solutions. In addition, Logica will showcase its clearing and settlement solutions featuring CAS, the world’s most popular RTGS system and CSS for government securities settlement.

Jean-Pierre Arens, Director Global Payment Solutions at Logica, said: “Regulation, consolidation and the credit crunch have changed the banking landscape significantly. Revenues are being squeezed and the banks have to look at new ways to be profitable. Financial institutions are challenged to examine the strategic impact of these changes and to mitigate the threat of shrinking revenue and margins through enhanced customer satisfaction and new products and services. Based on our extensive experience of delivering complex business-critical projects, from high value payments systems to satellite technology, Logica is well placed to help financial institutions address these challenges.”
