KPN outsources salary administration and management of HR system to LogicaCMG

10 May 2006

KPN and LogicaCMG have entered into an agreement for outsourcing the salary administration and the management of the HR system to LogicaCMG. The agreement is for the duration of four years with the option to be extended.

LogicaCMG is going to replace the current custom-made payroll system with a standard salary system for the 20,000 KPN employees. LogicaCMG will eventually handle the entire salary administration for KPN. LogicaCMG will take over the operational and technical management of KPN’s HR system of Oracle/ PeopleSoft and integrate it with its own service organisation.

Ad Scheepbouwer, KPN chairman of the board, said: “After a comprehensive selection process in which six parties were involved, KPN has opted for LogicaCMG. We chose LogicaCMG because LogicaCMG was one of the few parties able to offer a fully integrated solution. In addition, LogicaCMG has been a reliable partner in the technical management of our current custom-made payroll application for years.”

Leopold Loop, managing director of the international HR & Payroll business at LogicaCMG, comments: “The agreement with KPN builds on our relationship of many years during which LogicaCMG has actively supported several business domains of KPN in providing business benefits and added value. It also provides an important boost for our outsourcing activities within the HR & Payroll services, one of our strong business units.”

LogicaCMG has more than 40 years’ experience in the HR & Payroll services business. By applying this expertise it supports customers in their transition processes. The service and reliability is provided by the 1300 employees who are nationally and internationally supporting the HR & Payroll business, both internally and at customer organisations.
