Graeme Cooper
commercial director, UK
Graeme joined Logica in 2000, after spending more than 20 years with GEC-Marconi.  After approximately two years as Commercial Director of our telecoms solutions business, he took the position of UK Procurement Director before stepping into his current role.

Our Commercial function gives us a great advantage as they are able, as part of the Client-facing team, to assess the business risks we are taking and help structure proposals in a way which best meets the Client’s needs and mitigates these risks. It is important that the Commercial staff is engaged at an early stage in order to add maximum value.

The ratio of our revenue which comes from 3rd parties is increasing and it is important that we manage these 3rd parties in a way which meets both our Clients’ needs and our Company business objectives. The UK Procurement Department is the way we achieve this. Again – early engagement is crucial.

As additional businesses are added to the Logica Group we have a real opportunity to leverage our greater size, to learn from each other and to apply best practice. A key part of my role is to ensure that we take advantage of this opportunity.
