Logica is part of the European eCall consortium, developing in-vehicle active safety systems which can communicate automatically with emergency services.

Security in the meantime has become an increasingly important part of travel. There will always be a trade-off between passenger convenience and rigorous security checks, but Logica’s expertise can help achieve an optimum balance.

We are pioneering the concept of automated & biometric border management, where we combine automatic barriers with advanced biometric readers and smartcards so that travellers can move quickly and smoothly through airports or between countries.

Logica has emerged as one of the world’s most experienced operators, pioneering biometric solutions for football stadiums, shopping malls and other high security or high population density locations.  

It is also critical to ensure that the data transmitted in ITS applications is appropriately secure: that systems cannot be hacked or manipulated by unauthorised users. We run the first cryptographic (FIPS140) testing laboratory outside North America, designed to maximise the security of confidential and sensitive data within systems.
