Hello, I am Richard Copland, Principal Innovation Consultant for Logica. Innovation in my terms is something that’s new to you and provides a benefit. This can be cash, people or even green ideas. I spend my day looking at cool new stuff which can mean ways of working, technologies, partners and some whacky research. I get involved in lots of client discussions and people look at me to bring ideas to life that help answer the question ” is there a better way?”. My role is to create a vision of that answer. My aim is to empower you to believe that you can get what you want. That there is a better way.
I have a passion for entrepreneurship and early stage companies. As part of this passion, I spend evenings and weekends working with a number of early stage companies, helping them shape their propositions and helping to connected them to other people who I believe can help them grow their business.
Prior to joining Logica, I worked in academia in Australia and UK, designed Financial Reporting Service Centres for Barclays and worked in the consumer electronics and gaming industries with Sony and Nintendo.
I am split my time between the UK, Germany and Spain. When not travelling, I’m trying to get as much, surfing, snowboarding and mountain biking in as possible.
