Battlespace Systems
Combat, they say, is 99 per cent boredom and one per cent panic, action and fear. Battles are won or lost through planning during the 99 per cent and instant decision-making during the one per cent.
But without accurate, timely, secure data, neither planning nor decision-making can take place.
Both planning and decision-making are dependent on accessing, assessing and disseminating information instantly, securely and reliably. That’s what our information management battlespace systems, based on a Network Enabled Capability (NEC), can do for you.
It’s one of the reasons we’re classified as a top-rated Key Supplier to the MoD, year after year. We have a hard-earned reputation of delivering on time, on budget – and we’re committed to keep it.
Here’s some of the work that helps maintain our status:
- ISTAR – we’re a key partner in a series of Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance programmes. We deliver interoperability to ensure that coherent information is delivered to commanders though intuitive user interfaces.
- Skynet5 – we’re part of the Paradigm Secure Communications team that is delivering the latest generation of UK military satellite communications.
- Fire Control – our fire control applications run on top of the BOWMAN, the communications system in the operational areas, and are currently in use in Afghanistan.
- NITEworks – we’ve a key role in this important experimental facility, helping shape the future of networked capabilities.
- Watchkeeper – partnering with Thales, we’re helping to deliver this unmanned air vehicle programme. It gives UK armed forces an essential ISTAR capability.
- Aurora – a suite of tools for the next generation of spectrum management, making secure information available in the field, was demonstrated at Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration 09, the global defence technology initiative.
