The oil and gas fields of the North Sea have helped to shape modern Scotland – and we have been there since 1982, helping to make the process possible. Today, we have more than 100 people working throughout Scotland on services ranging from business consultancy via applications management services to systems integration.

We support, maintain and develop approximately 1,000 applications that are either business critical or require a high degree of business intimacy as part of our oil exploration and production application services. We also provide a single, virtual, pan-European application support helpdesk and IT project manpower and backfill labour, both onshore and offshore, as well as managing software licensing on behalf of clients.

Our Vantage personnel-on-board tracking service is shared by logistics and HR professionals in more than 45 oil and gas companies. It tracks more than a million personnel movements to and from more than 420 locations each year. It is used worldwide for places as far afield as Angola, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tunisia.

Operational risk is another area of specialisation and we have a dedicated consulting team in Aberdeen to service UK users of Synergi, which has been in use for more than 18 years. It gives management and business units the information they need to prevent unacceptable risk, share lessons and manage corrective measures and actions. It is used by many major global operations, as well as local companies.

Aberdeen is also the base for our hydrocarbon management centre of excellence. Business benefits including cost savings, reduced risk and support for consistent, top-quality management are at the heart of Prodis, which been implemented more that 40 locations worldwide. It tracks the ownership and management of hydrocarbons from production to sale, across platforms, pipelines, terminals, transmission and distribution networks and storage and liquid natural gas facilities.
